Fun with distress crayons

Morning to you all, I have my next Guest Designer creation for Chocolate Baroque. As with the last one I have written up all the details for the DT blog here so hope you will again forgive me for not going into detail on my own blog as well as typing takes forever, the mind is willing but the body not as accommodating which is sooooooo infuriating to say the least.

In fact my whole left side is still pretty wonky following the last relapse and I am beginning to think this is as good as it's going to get. Over the years there has always an element of things not going quite back to how they were before a relapse, but this time the deterioration is far more significant and the pain reluctant to ease. But there are those far worse off and I am grateful that I can still craft and do many of the things I want, I just have to accept it takes longer.

I also have my Penny Black mid month share.............a day late I'm afraid !! Fabriano 600gsm card, lots of inks, background stamping and embossing and my all time favourite Penny Black sentiment which I cut into four and made little tags just for a change. And I used a few acorns when I took the phone, this year one of our Oaks has been particularly abundant and they are like a carpet beneath the branches.......isn't Nature wonderful ?

I am heading off to see Miss Di at the Playground with this one and the tags used up several oddment of Fabriano.

Many thanks for you visits which are always most appreciated.

Gorgeous cards Brenda, never heard of Distress Crayons, although I am not a great colourer. xxxxx

I so admire they way you look at your situation Brenda. So many people would simply give up and sulk (and thereby only making things worse, I believe), but you always find a way to continue on doing the things you love.
And doing them well! Both of these cards are so very, very pretty, and I LOVE the sentiment tags! x

Your butterfly card is so pretty, Brenda. Love the soft effect you have achieved with the distress crayons. Sorry to hear things have not improved healthwise. Knowing that it comes with the territory doesn't make it easier, but I'm happy you are still able to do (many) of the things you love doing.

Morning Brenda, first can I say I'm very sorry to hear that you are still finding things difficult since your last relapse. I do hope that things do improve for you.

Both cards are very beautiful. I love the background on the first and the butterflies are gorgeous. Loving the beautiful inkyness on the second and the embellishments are wonderful. I really like your idea of cutting up the sentiment to use as tags. Hugs, Barbxx

Oh not good to read this so hope you do improve. You make such beautiful cards especially love the Autumn shades of that bottom card. Never though to cut the sentiment that way, looks fab and an idea I shall be trying x

Love both cards! The elegance and peacefull one for CB and the PB where I really like the colours and background, but the thing that really attracks me is the way you used for the sentiment on the second card! So original and fun!
Sorry to read that youre left side isn't back to where it was before the relapse, but oh so glad that you can still craft! Wouldn't know where you had to put all your ideas then; your head would overflow so quickly :) And I enjoy seeing all your makes! So inspiring! Hugs, Gerrina

These are so beautiful...as they always are! I am so sorry to hear that you are not fully coming back. I have a friend here in the US with MS too and it saddens me to see what she is going through so I imagine it is much the same for you. I pray it gets better for you both. I am amazed that even with all your struggles you are able to create so many stunning cards and projects. I have never used distress crayons but I truly love what you have done with them! Lots of hugs, Robin

Wow, wow, wow! I loved the first card--pink & gray is a favorite & the background is perfect for those gorgeous butterflies! But then I got to the second card & my jaw hit the floor! Brilliant sentiment treatment--I really do have to get that stamp which I've always admired but never purchased! The background is totally amazing, Brenda! I'm so glad you're able to keep crafting & if I ever find that blog writing genie I'll share her with you--haha!

Wowser Brenda! First of all I do so wish for better days for you - I know you have a great attitude though and that's always such a help. 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going' as they say.

Love your cards, that was what the wowser was for! The first one is so beautiful and the snippets one leapt out at me - I know you love that PB sentiment, I do too, and I would never have thought to chop it up as you have. Clever idea! Wonderful colours and flowers as well - in short, flippin' gorgeous!
